Free Minecraft Servers!

Posted by Martyj on the 12th of April, 2014 at 03:33:00 PM

Have you ever wanted to know what it takes to run your own minecraft server? Have you ever wanted your own server where you can play exactly how you want to play, where you don't have to worry about somebody messing up your stuff?

Well now is your chance!

GamingHeavens is giving away free minecraft servers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A total of 110 minecraft servers will be available initially. Depending on the success, more could be added.

Now you probably think these are some shitty servers right? Well not exactly.

Each server instance will have 1GB of ram with 6GB of disk space. 1GB will be needed for the OS which will leave you with 5GB free for minecraft.

So who can enter?

Anybody with 25 forum posts and above!

Since supply is limited, there is a monthly post requirement of 20 posts. But don't fret, it's easily doable.

The servers will be up and running in about a month, ready to server your needs. So start posting on the forum to reach the limit, and claim your spot today.

First come, first serve.

Unfortunately not everything can come for free so there is some caveats to this.

  1. There is not a 100% up time guarantee. We will try to keep them up as much as possible, but no promises.

  2. You will not have full freedom on these servers. Strictly minecraft servers only.

  3. You won't have access to MySQL for any MySQL use plugins nor the ability to stream web content for a google maps file.

  4. Bandwidth is limited, but for the most part it shouldn't be a problem.

  5. We do not have any backups of your data. You are required to backup your data. It will be backed up by a raid setup, but sometimes these things do fail.

  6. We will not manage your minecraft server for you. It's your responsibility to install the plugins, keep everything up to date, ect.

  7. Accounts not maintaining the monthly forum post requirements will not have their data available after their month is up. It will be deleted.

  8. Nobody is exempt from the server requirements {Should we add a donator exemption?}

  9. We are not your tech support. If something breaks on your MC install, it's up to you to fix it. Please don't spam us with emails, Maybe you could post on the forum instead? I'm sure other people have similar issues. If we know the answer we will gladly give any advice we can.

That being said here is what you can do!

  1. Invite anybody you want on the server

  2. Ban anybody you want on the server. Even GH staff if you so wish to.

  3. Use any plugins you want

  4. It's your Minecraft Server, do what you want!

The servers are being set up right now, but we will start rolling them out in May.

To Apply create a post here:

Servers are given out on a first come first serve basis.

Posted by Feinraf on the 1st of March, 2013 at 08:42:00 PM

So we figured we would let you settle in with version 3 for a little bit before we actually start this giveaway. So welcome to our week of giveaways.

Each day for 7 days we will be giving a game/game card away to one lucky person.

Here's how it will work: every day, across the minecraft server, ventrilo, forums, and website there will be a unique code. The code will be labeled with GC:. An example code can be seen as here:

GC: 65sn9iD

(Please note: this is not one of the giveaways codes which will grant you a prize)

If you find a code like this quickly message Feinraf on the forum with the code. The first person to message Feinraf gets the giveaway prize for the day.

Stay tuned for our first weekly giveaway post where we announce the prize and where it may be found.

Welcome to version 3

Posted by Feinraf on the 24th of February, 2013 at 05:44:16 PM

Welcome to the newest version of our beloved Gaming Heavens, its been months in development but thanks to hard work it's finally here.

The most dramatic improvement is the website design which is much more modern and includes a brand new colourscheme for GH, away from the grey dullness of the past and to a nice red and cream.

Another change we would like to highlight is we have brought back the famous games page from way back on Runegamer along with the introduction of a site-wide chatbox. We hope you have fun reliving the glorious moments on Copter.

To view a list of all of the changes to the website please visit the weekly update.

We also plan on running a 'week of giveaways'. Every day for one week starting Monday 25th February we will run a giveaway. The loots include anything from PC Games to WoW Membership to Runescape Cash Cards so be sure to stick around and enter the giveaways.

You can avoid reality, but you cannot avoid the consequences of avoiding reality.

Friday, February 10th, 2013

Marty suddenly awoke from his slumber. He had only fallen to sleep only hours before to the sweet sounds of Chris singing drunken lullabies on Ventrilo.

"That was a horrible nightmare! I think I may have wet the bed again," he muttered in that half-awake, half-asleep daze.

He begrudgingly tore off the bed sheets and stood up, stark naked. Marty didn’t wear clothes, as it was his belief that they only served to hinder man’s free spirit. No matter – it was the sheets he was concerned with.

"4 A.M., dammit," he said to himself. Why did he have to wake up so early? Of all nights to have a pissing nightmare, it had to be this one.

Marty had a hot date set up with a cute male yoga instructor that he met the other week. He needed his beauty sleep if he planned on impressing him that evening. Who knows, maybe he’d get lucky.

This still frustrated Marty carried the sheets to the washer and dumped them in. Turning around, he gazed into the dark linen closet. Several shelves of cotton sheets vied for his attention, but he settled on a thick bundle of pink Disney princess sheets to use this time. In his heart, he always wanted to be a princess but he dare not admit that to his peers.

After gingerly placing the fresh sheets onto his bed, he lifted the pink duvet and settled back in. There were only a few hours before his alarm would wake him once again, so Marty intended to make the most of his time and doze off.

As hard as he tried, he still couldn’t get over his nightmare. His brain wasn’t even able to remember what exactly happened, but deeper inside his subconscious, something deeply unpleasant was rattling about inside.

Had it been the re-occurring femdom nightmare? No. Marty never had trouble remembering that one. In fact, lately it had turned into more of a fantasy as Marty had finally overcome his fear of black latex. Now, he actually was able to derive some "pleasure" from those thoughts.

It had to be something new this time. But what? What would cause such subconscious trauma? Marty is a programmer at a mildly successful local company, and as such has a distinct power for deductive reasoning.

"What’s happened to me in the past few days?" he muttered to himself.

He had his ice cream stolen by a little girl at Cold Stone Creamery on Monday.

"No, that can’t be it," he rewound, "that happens all the time."

On Wednesday he finally ran out of episodes of Community to watch. The sudden loss of episodes to enjoy cause many people to experience emotional, and even physical pain.

"Maybe, but I don’t think I remember seeing any of the Community cast in my nightmare."

Getting closer to the present, he recalled a conversation with Brett that he had on Thursday. During, Brett lightly suggested sexual torture would occur if he did not finish version 3 of Gaming Heavens.

That website literally had not received an update in two years, but Brett was still adamant in using his vast collection of spiked dildos and rusty crowbars to penetrate various orifices if version 3 was not finished in due haste.

This was the nightmare that had awoken him. He had envisioned Brett in a bloodied lab coat, slowly inserting rusted construction implements into god-knows-where.

He knew what he had to do.

He had to finish v3.

(and by finish, I mean finally get around to spending a couple of days to add a chat to a moderately complete site and launch it as-is)

And so, we step away from this story learning a valuable lesson. Brett will haunt you in your dreams. The end.
